OTA/Conscript Raids: Rules.
1. OTA Must be acknowledged. This means that someone of high authority needs to give the "Affirmative" that Overwatch Soldiers can attack. In City RP this is done by the Sectorial (SeC), or the Commander (CmD). In the case you are on an Outlands server this will be acknowledged by an EAFM, Dispatch (must be confirmed), or the GOS. Only then can you flag up on you OTA Character, and move immediately to the briefing.
2. The SQL (or whoever is in charge) will lay out the plan. Keep in mind that while your doing this, the objective needs to know if it's going to NLR/PK, and if it's RP/S2K. If none of these are specified, it can be automatically assumed that it is S2K and NLR. On a side note, if the objective is a person they will always be PK'd even if everyone else is NLR (unless of course this person is being captured). This person must be PM'd before hand.
3. Once the rules are laid out and OTA has a plan ready, move with your sqaud to get geared up. Remember to take appropriate gear for the job, for example, don't take a shotgun to a rooftop battle. Make sure your only taking gear your aloud to, last thing people want is a standard unit with a sniper (see the OTA Guide for what equipment you are aloud to take).
4. Before deploying your SQL is supposed to take any OOC questions. ICly the combine soldiers are bred to perfection, they can memorize orders, and know exactly what they can and can not do. The problem is that not every player is perfect, so therefore an OTA soldier can never really be played correctly (going by HL2 Lore). In order to make the server closer to the lore, just fire off questions about anything, to make sure you understand it to the best of your ability. The SQL is OOCly not aloud to start the raid until everyone is 100% sure what they're doing.
5. Now that your in the action you need to keep track of a few things. The first thing is to remember your plan, like we said earlier: OTA don't screw up. Sometimes screw ups happen which is okay, but keep in mind I is to be taken IC, and you could be punished for being 'mentally unperfect'. If an objective is killed it is to be taken IC, for example: your in a big firefight, and you fire a pulse ball, it takes out two rebels one of them happened to be the objective. This person (even though they were supposed to be PK'd) are considered NLR, because simply: OTA don't screw up. If the objective is failed, you must RIPCORD back to base. And your squad will be punished for failing the raid.
6. If you are killed for any reason during a raid (NLR) you may not go back to the event. If you switch characters and go back, you may not revenge/vendetta kill.
7. Once the raid is completed and you are back at base, you need to make sure the objective is secure. Then go to your SQL, sign out, and return to status.
8. If for any reason at all you have to leave, or you get DC'd during the raid, DO NOT go to the event. Instead, move to the Med-Bay and you will be assumed to have taken a non-lethal shot to the chest that will put you out for a few hours. Make sure to PM your SQL if this is the case, do not spam or force the SQL to respond as they are likely in the middle of a firefight.
